Chatham Teens To Host Suicide Prevention Talk Chatham Teens For Mental Health has announced that in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, it will host a community-based presentation titled "Talk Saves Lives." The presentation, which is being held in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, will take place on May 19, at 7 p.m. at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, located at 58 Meyersville Road. Opening Day At Colony Pool Club In Chatham Prepare your towels and floaties, Chatham: registration for the Colony Pool Club 2022 season has begun. The community pool is located at 55 School Ave in Chatham Township and is open on weekends from May 28 to June 11, and then every day from June 11 until the end of the season. Vegan Lunch Event Sponsored By Chatham High School Students Chatham High School held a vegan lunch day to honor Earth Week by making food choices that reduce emissions. This event was co-organized by the CHS Green Team, the school's environmental club, and the TEDxYouth@Chatham students, who coordinate and host TEDx events in the community. Now celebrating 15 years, the Chatham Borough Farmers Market is a New Jersey-based market that supports farmers and other purveyors throughout the state. The market is held at Railroad Plaza South & Fairmount Avenue, Railroad Plaza S, Chatham. It runs every Saturday until Nov. 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food Drive For Ukraine Organized By Chatham High School Students The Chatham High School's freshman student council is holding a community-wide food drive for Ukraine throughout the month of May. Boxes labeled "Ukraine Food Drive" will be available in the lobby of Chatham High and Middle Schools, Lafayette School, Milton Avenue Elementary, Washington Avenue Elementary and Southern Boulevard until May 27. Household Hazardous Waste Collection In Morris County Morris County officials are advising residents to check under their kitchen sinks, garages and sheds for hazardous products and materials that have outstayed their welcome. In addition to the permanent household hazardous waste facility in Mount Olive, the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority hosts disposal event days to provide Morris County residents with a safe, cost-free, and environmentally conscious way to dispose of unwanted household items that cannot be disposed of in regular trash.
