Description
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 shook northern San Diego County late Sunday night.
The quake was reported at 11:16 p.m. more than four miles northeast of Desert Hot Springs in Riverside County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of nearly five miles.
A 2.9-magnitude quake was reported about 20 minutes later in the same location, according to the USGS.
The initial earthquake was felt across Riverside County. San Diego area residents in Carlsbad, Fallbrook, Oceanside, Valley Center and Vista also reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
