SAN JOSE, CA — Police have confirmed that at least one person died at a double shooting that took place Monday morning near San Jose State University. San Jose police tweeted that on Monday at about 3:08 a.m. they were on the scene of a double shooting on the 400 block of South 10th Street. One male victim had a life-threatening injury, while one female victim had non life-threatening injuries, police said. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. At 10:40 a.m., police said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide. It is not yet known whether the man or the woman died. Police said additional details are forthcoming. No suspect or motive has been assigned as of noon Monday. The news comes shortly after a woman died of a stabbing late Sunday night in Vera Lane in San Jose. — This is a breaking story.
