Press release from the City of Eden Prairie: May 13, 2022 Yard Waste Site Extended Hours To accommodate clean up from this week's storm, the City's Yard Waste Site is open extended hours through Sunday, May 15. Guidelines for use and a list of materials accepted at the site are available at edenprairie.org/YardWaste. Extended hours are as follows: Friday, May 13: 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday, May 14: 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Sunday, May 15: 8 a.m.–7 p.m. Eden Prairie Players Presents: Women's One Acts The Eden Prairie Players Women's One Acts is a collection of short plays written and directed by women, and selected with a mature audience in mind. Senior Resource Fair Attend the Senior Resource Fair Monday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Senior Center. Professional organizations serving Eden Prairie provide resources and education for older adults and their caregivers. Learn about exercise and wellness, home renovation, hospice, in-home health agencies, insurance, Medicare, real estate, senior housing and more. Students on Commissions The City is accepting Students on Commissions applications for the 2022-2023 school year. The program is open to any high school junior or senior who lives in Eden Prairie. Students on Commissions is a great way for Eden Prairie youth to contribute to their community in an official capacity, while gaining valuable insight about municipal government. Student commission member terms begin in September and end in May, with an expected time commitment of one evening meeting per month. The application deadline is Friday, May 27. Rainbow Treecare is providing a Citywide discount for Eden Prairie homeowners to treat their trees with trunk injections.
