No. 0013767 Oconee County On May 17, 2022, the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) will publish project information for review and feedback online to allow citizens to review and comment on the proposed project. We appreciate your participation in this process. Georgia DOT will publish information at https://transformingsr316-gdot.hub.arcgis.com related to the proposed improvements to State Route (SR) 8/SR 316/United States (US) 29 at Jimmy Daniel Road. As part of Georgia DOT's effort to improve mobility, reduce the potential for crashes, and improve traffic flow conditions along SR 8/SR 316/US 29, the current at-grade crossing of Jimmy Daniel Road is being considered for improvements. These proposed improvements consist of replacing the existing at-grade signalized intersection with a grade-separated diamond interchange, including a single-lane roundabout at each exit/entrance ramp. The purpose of this internet posting is to replace an in-person meeting, while allowing the public to review the proposed project, provide feedback, or write in with questions. There will be a virtual presentation and Q&A session on May 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to allow the public to ask questions of subject-matter experts.
