Barton and Gray is currently seeking to add skilled and unskilled apprentice varnish technicians to our service department to take care of the varnish needs of our fleet of Hinckley Powerboats. An ideal skilled candidate will have experience varnishing in the marine industry. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience applying varnish Knowledge of marine paint and varnish products Careful attention to detail Willingness to learn and grow experience within the existing service team Ability to follow written work orders, take notes while performing work and communicate the work performed effectively to Service Manager and/or supervisor Experience in a boat yard/marina is a plus. Varnish apprentice will be provided with skilled instruction into marine varnish application.
