We need exceptional, highly motivated individuals to join our legacy. We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our growing team! The Production Assistant is primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the materials within the Production department by performing the following duties: Gathers pipe to cut posts. Cuts and bundles posts for orders and for stock to minimize scrap in the gate department. Verifies counts and provides clear and careful documentation on all orders. Confers with Production Lead for order accuracy. Unloads, checks in, puts fittings away to warehouse fence parts. Restocks primary locations as needed. Ensures the Production area is maintained and clean, picking up and unloading garbage, and other cleanup duties that may be assigned. Locates parts and other items in the warehouse and yard with ease. Operates assorted tools and equipment while following all safety protocols. These include pliers, tape measure, abrasive saw, banding tools, pipe cutters, forklifts, gator. Uses hand tools and read sales orders. Communicates with Production Lead with any questions regarding order information. Follows all Pacific Fence and Wire’s safety policies and ensures that any safety concerns are reported immediately to a manager. Respectfully takes direction from manager. Other duties as assigned. Wondering if you are qualified? Here is what we are looking for: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in customer service, sales or administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid and current Driver’s License is required. A forklift certification is preferred. Ability to understand fence material specifications and working knowledge of the product preferred. Ability to work well with others as well as independently. Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. Must be detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy. Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required. You must be able to properly demonstrate your ability to be reliable, possess a strong work ethic with a positive attitude, behave in a highly professional manner and have initiative while working independently with minimal supervision to produce accurate and timely work. This position is full-time and will work Day Shift. The hourly pay rate is between $15.70 and $21.00 depending on experience.
