Construction Purchasing Person for Kopke Remodeling and Design POSITION SUMMARY: Directing and overseeing all Order Planning, Receiving, Warehousing, Customer Delivery, Customer Service Works with project management team members to support company and install goals. Plan, direct, and monitor all materials planning, inventory control, storage, delivery, and supplier receiving. Develop and implement materials handling procedures; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and achieve volume, timeliness, reliability, and safety standards. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and coordinates activities to schedule, procure, receive, and stage materials. Monitor basic inventory availability and movement of materials, supplies, and services to meet production and delivery schedules. Must be able to move large cabinets, tile and flooring. Monitor daily customer operations and assist project managers in change orders and materials needed for the project. Send blueprints to building suppliers and receive material cost list. Able to send prints to all mechanical, rough and finish subcontractors. Evaluate stock inventory and production capacities and plans in relation to current and upcoming install projects. Submit permit applications and follow up with Project Managers for changes that are needed. Directs and supervises delivery person. Able to travel up to 5% of the time. Performs other related duties as needed and assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS; SKILLS: At least 8 years’ in the remodeling industry – must have knowledge in cabinets, tile, countertops and flooring materials and install Demonstrated experience in material planning, inventory control, shipping and receiving Experience in: Bathroom, kitchen, and addition remodeling/build Experience in: Buildertrend.net is a huge plus Excel skills, word, and online searches Problem Solving methodology and lean skills utilized for materials management People Skills a must Must have ability to find subcontractors COMPETENCIES Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines of products Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management Ability to create and implement new standard systems Proficient computer skills required including Google calendar and sheets Ability to lift 55 lbs or more. Team Oriented and supportive of others Maintain good Safety practices Job Type: Full-time Paid Vacations Paid Holidays 401K – Match Company Office Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour – The more you know the more organized you are the more towards the $24.00 you will make.
