Our band is seeking a bass player. You might be an experienced player who doesn’t want the commitment of a pro band, a newer player who’s really passionate about playing more and getting better - or someone who hasn’t played in some time and wants to get back in it. Several of us have been playing together for ten years. We consist of a vocalist, keys, guitar and drummer. We work on creating a setlist of eclectic rock from all eras. From Vanilla Fudge, Cheap Trick, Phish, My Morning Jacket to The Killers. A set we all contribute to that challenges us to play in different styles. There is also a desire to develop originals. We range in age from the mid-30s to 70 - so any age/gender is welcome. Covid, life and health have caused some disruptions in the last several years but we are eager to get rolling again. We typically practice weekly at the Madison Music Foundry which is comfortable and provides decent bass amps. Gigging has taken the form of full-band open mikes at venues like Funky’s Pub, Christy’s Landing or Bur Oak. We’ve also thrown some private parties. We’re open to doing more if the momentum is there. We seek a player that’s fun to be with, is patient and really passionate about music. Technically, you know your instrument and can pick up on songs.
