Seeking versatile, experienced guitar player (vox helpful) for 6-piece ensemble. Local gigs, mostly Volusia County, between 2 and up to 4 monthly. Ideal candidate is a team player comfortable with allowing each member musical space, and willing to woodshed prior to weekly rehearsals. Eclectic repertoire, tasty cover tunes rarely performed in clubs. We’re musicians, not mere entertainers, so there will be NO Hotel California, Brown-eyed Girl, Margaritaville, Sweet Caroline, Gimme Three Steps, etc. We play what we like, and it turns out that a lot of listeners like it, too. We add songs frequently, as we will continue to grow as musicians until we die. We don’t sound like the record, we sound like us. Here’s a sampling of artists we cover: Steely Dan, George Benson, Doobie Brothers, The Ventures, Santana, Herbie Hancock, The Meters, Stray Cats, Hall and Oates, Alan Parsons Project, Earth Wind and Fire, Daft Punk, Boz Scaggs, Canned Heat, ELP, Traffic, War, Chicago, Marvin Gaye, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Zombies, Pink Floyd, James Brown, B.B. King We play for money, but of course with the pie cut 6 ways, this band will not be your primary source of income; you’ll get some money in your pocket while playing music with solid, experienced musicians. You’ll have some fun, too.
