What is a Bengal Cat?
A Bengal Cat is a hybrid cat of Asian Leopard and Donestic House Cat. The Bengal was officially invented by 1980. An American woman bred an Asian Leopard to Siamese cat. The offspring females were bred down 4 more times to Tabby cats. The final result is the Bengal Cat. They are recognized by Cat Registrys and can be shown. Why breed a house cat to an Asian Leopard? Well, a Bengal Cats coat is beautifully marked. They can be spotted or they can be marbled and come in a variety of tones. An amazing feature Bengals have is their fur does not shed. Its velvety soft and considered to be HYPOALLERGENIC to humans. Bengals love to fetch toys for you for hours if you like. They play in water. Bengals are very talkative and cozy companions at bedtime. My Bengal uses a giant wheel to run on. Hes on it 50 times a day. I find it very entertaining. I reccommend everyone meet a Bengal. It only takes once and you will fall in love with them. You can text or call me for more information. Gretchen
