Description
As much pain as this brings me, I’m having to rehome this 11 month old Australian Shepherd and Blue heeler Mix to someone who will take good care of her. Dixie, a unfixed female, is in need of a new home because I’m moving out of my old residence. I can not bring her to my new location, and therefor she will need someone else to look after her. She’s a super sweet dog, however Dixie is very shy. She’ll bark at people from fear, but she’d never even think about biting someone, nor has she ever tried to bite anybody. She’ll warm up to you after awhile, but it might take some time and patience. Honestly, she just needs someone who is whiling to put in the time and effort in spending quality time with her, because she really is a good dog. She loves to play! Fun, loving, puppy energy, great with kids and works well with other dogs. Like mentioned before, she is timid, but also around other dogs as well. She plays well with them after warming up though. We’re thinking she’s like this because of her past, she had been sheltered for a long time from any type of contact. I’ve worked with her a lot, and I’ve seen her improve. So I bet through time and patience, Dixie would warm right up to being a happy go-lucky social dog. She is potty trained, however she still is a puppy, so she’ll need to go the bathroom more often then an adult dog would. She knows to sit, spin, lay down, stay, fetch, tug. She waits on ques before eating. Working on speak, but I guess I’ll leave that fun command to her next home. Please don’t be afraid to call or text me! We’re not putting a price over her head, however I will be picky on where she goes; must be a good home.
