Male singers wanted for a cappella chorus

Meets

7783 Kalohelani Pl., Kailua HI

Description

The Sounds of Aloha Chorus (SOA) is seeking male singers and aspiring singers who want to give a cappella harmony a try. No formal singing background is necessary if you can carry a tune and are willing to learn. Some of our singers have music degrees, but others don't read a note of music and have no prior choral experience, just a good ear -- and heart! -- for singing. We pride ourselves on making ordinary voices produce extraordinary music. We meet most Thursday evenings in Hawaii Kai, at the Queen's Gate Community Rec Center, usually from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with some socializing afterwards. If you would like to visit, we ask that you contact us in advance for access to the venue. WE WILL BE HOLDING A SPECIAL GUEST NIGHT FOR INTERESTED MALE SINGERS, THURSDAY, MAY 19, 2022, AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE QUEEN'S GATE REC CENTER. SIGN-UP IN ADVANCE IS REQUIRED FOR VENUE ACCESS. FOR DETAILS, PLEASE CONTACT US VIA CRAIGSLIST OR VISIT OUR WEBSITE. SOA is proudly a barbershop chorus, but leave your straw hats and arm garters at home. We love the old songs, but the contemporary barbershop scene is much broader. Singing with the Sounds of Aloha also is a social activity: we enjoy remarkable camaraderie, laugh a lot, and have a ton of fun. For more information, please contact us via Craiglist or find us online -- if you click on the EVENTS tab at the top of our website home page, you'll find the rehearsal plan for the current week, as well as information on upcoming performances.
