We are looking for someone to join our production staff at our Bushwick Roastery. Caffe Vita Production Assistant Job Description Title: Production Assistant Reports to: Production Manager Location: Bushwick Department: Operations Summary: Caffe Vita Production Assistants are responsible to know all the products we provide, work efficiently/accurately, and uphold company standards. You are a Brand Ambassador for Caffe Vita’s reputation for exceptional service and products. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Valid Drivers License Excellent customer service, professionalism and attention to detail Proven passion & knowledge for coffee, tea, related retail items and industry trends Strong multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills Ability to work as a contributing and positive member of a team Flexibility of schedule SALES ASSOCIATE RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate understanding of all coffee varieties, grind settings, and packaging options that Caffe Vita offers. Display professionalism and enthusiasm for Caffe Vita in appearance, communication and manner of interaction. Package coffee efficiently in retail and wholesale bags both manually and using machinery. Ability to work independently while honoring team and company goals Strong multi-tasking skills and a sense of urgency Read invoices and package orders accurately and efficiently Customer service and professionalism Strong work ethic Keep work area free from dust and debris PHYSICAL DEMANDS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Previous production and customer service experience preferred Able to sit or stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift Able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis throughout the work day COMPANY EMPLOYEE STANDARDS Self accountability Ownership of professional growth Dignity and respect for others Direct, honest and timely communication Confident and enthusiastic approach toward change Pro-active problem solving Caffe Vita has been roasting coffee in Seattle since 1995 as an independent & locally-owned company. From our beginnings at the base of Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, we now operate 11 cafes throughout Seattle, Portland, and New York. Caffe Vita coffee is always fresh, imported directly from the farm, and roasted on-site in Seattle, Brooklyn, and Portland.
