New Moon Dip-Venture: Coffee, Cake, Crowns, & Dip Extravaganza

Join us for a Coffee Tasting, Coffee Cake Competition, & Flower Crown Making followed by a Dip in the ocean! Every month we go for a dip on the new moon and we're picking a new beach, lake, or river to try! Come rain or snow, high tide, low tide, warm days, weekdays or weekends, we gather as a community to bear witness to self, others, and the cyclical rhythms of the earth and her seasons. These dips are a way to meet and celebrate ourselves just as we are in the moment- powerful, wonderful, and wild! They connect us to our bodies, attune us to nature, bring us into community, and spread a whole lotta joy in the process! For May's New Moon we're adding on a few extra goodies to engage all of our senses. One of our dear dip friends, Kari Guddeck, is the Quality Director for Wicked Joe! Kari is graciously donating coffee and her time and will lead us through a quick coffee tasting. She'll have coffees from different origins and varying roast levels. Come test your taste buds, or just chill out with a good cup of joe! To accompany the coffee tasting, you're invited to enter a friendly little coffee cake competition! Bring your best coffee cake - whether you've been testing a recipe or you're excited to throw something together on a whim! We'll sample the cakes, vote on our favorites, and the winner will receive a goodie basket from Wicked Joe! Lastly, we'll have all of the freshest blooms ready to lead you through making beautiful flower crowns that you can wear to our ocean dip. We'll wrap up our time together with a joyful coldwater dip in our flower crowns nearby at Barret's Park in Boothbay Harbor.
