Shades of Wellness is excited to announce our upcoming kickball tournament to raise money for the Distant Relatives Project. On Saturday, May 21st, Shades of Wellness in partnership with Distant Relatives Project will host a fun Kickball Tournament and toiletry drive to raise funds for clean water, hygiene, and sanitation in Ghana. Distant Relatives Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Washington, D.C. area that is committed to providing opportunities and resources to underserved communities both locally and abroad. Distant Relatives Project has recognized that among the health disparities facing people around the world, one of the most concerns is access to clean water. Their Clean Water Project seeks to not only raise awareness but bring one of the most basic resources to the underserved communities in Ghana. Our goal is to raise $2,000 dollars or more! This is where we will need your help! We know that you understand that all people deserve access to clean water and basic sanitation. You can donate by 1) registering to participate in our kickball tournament as a individual player or as a team (in order to classify as a team, you will need a min of 10-12 players) or 2) make a monetary donate through eventbrite or 3) click the amazon link below to purchase toiletry items for our relatives in need located in the DC metropolitan area. All donations will help fund our kickball tournament (water, snacks, and more) and go towards our goal of raising $2,000 or more for the Distant Relatives Project.
