Join us Wednesday afternoon in South Park to meet regional infrastructure professionals and learn about neighborhood projects! Join us in South Park to meet regional infrastructure professionals, learn about neighborhood projects, and tour the Duwamish River People's Park & Shoreline Habitat! We invite community members and encourage high school students or recent graduates to Infrastructure Week 12,022 - joining the Port of Seattle, City of Seattle, and King County to highlight community collaboration in the Duwamish Valley. Learn about regional infrastructure endeavors, community initiatives, and the many associated careers bringing them into reality! 12,022?? Yes, we acknowledge the 10,000 years Humans have been living alongside a built environment, going back to the discovery of Gobekli Tepe, our first "city"! We have developed our infrastructure over countless civilizations throughout the Human Era, and most of us will agree, it is time for the next evolution. See how ecology is the guiding principal for engineering the future built environment... Together we discuss how engaged communities can solve the challenges of urbanization, and bring for the evolution towards Infrastructure Symbiosis. United through conversations on infrastructure, let’s build a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable urban landscape, together!
