The Blues Community coming together to take care of one of their own. Sunday May 29th we are coming together to help a friend. Josh Rowand and the Pitbull of the Blues Band Led by dynamic front man, Josh "The Pitbull of Blues" Rowand, this high energy Florida band has been on the prowl for many years. The Pitbull of Blues Band is a regular on the festival circuit, known for their fun-loving mix of traditional and original blues. Josh is proud to be the only US endorsed artist with Ali Kat Guitars & with his stunning guitar work he leads the crowds through a repertoire of all that is blues and more. Putting the bite in blues, this band delivers a show that reminds you why you fell in love with the blues. Kat Riggins Inspired by the variety and abundance of music in her parents’ collection, it makes sense that her own music is peppered with hints of R&B, soul, country, gospel, hip-hop, and rock-n-roll. Make no mistake; however, Kat Riggins is undeniably a BLUES WOMAN! She travels the world with the sole mission of keeping the blues alive and thriving through her Blues Revival Movement. The Joey Gilmore Band Joey Gilmore is an electric blues guitarist and singer from Ocala. He developed an interest in music at a young age when he would visit a barbershop to watch the barber play guitar. He learned from watching and over the years became a master guitar player in his own right. In the 1960s Gilmore gained popularity in South Florida accompanying touring musicians, and he joined some of them on the road. Over the years he has performed with stars such as James Brown, Etta James, Bobby Bland, Little Milton, Johnny Taylor and numerous others. He has released numerous albums over the years, and in 2006 Gilmore's group won Best Band in the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in Memphis. He has appeared in jazz and blues festivals in Florida, throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Otis Cadillac and the El Dorados Featuring The Sublime Seville Sisters The Otis Cadillac and the El Dorados R&B Revue is an 11 piece band that performs Classic R&B, Root Rock N’ Roll and related Blues oriented material. The band performs in a style that emulates the R&B revues of the late 50s and early 60s. It is the goal of each performance to recreate the atmosphere and energy that gave birth to Rock N’ Roll in that era.
