We are looking for a Railcar Technician / Switchman to join our team! Primary job duties are working on various types of railcars performing inspections, cleaning, product removal, part repairs and/or part replacement following Customer, Company, OSHA, FRA, and AAR guidelines. Experience is not required, but the ideal candidate will have experience in the railcar cleaning industry, using high pressure tools, general laborers, construction workers, or related field experience. Work week subject to required overtime, on-call, and alternate shifts that may include weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Rail Car Work Sites: Baytown and Pasadena Texas Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Referral program • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Qualifications: • 18 years of age or older. • Reliable transportation and able to report to job site before start time and /or on time. • Valid Texas Driver's License. • Willing to submit to a pre-employment, criminal, and driving background review. • Pre-employment and random drug testing is required. • Must pass a physical examination, fit test and be able to wear a respirator. • Must pass required Safety Training and other Basic Courses • Able to tolerate heights and tight, enclosed spaces. Must be able to comfortably fit into a 20” (inch) man-way hole. • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. • Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling. • Able to bend, climb, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. • Able to work outdoors in extreme all-weather conditions. • Able to follow strict safety guidelines and wear full personal protective equipment.
