VPSHA is hosting a regional soil health event focusing on incorporating soil health practices to improve your operation's bottom line. How will soil health practices improve your land AND your bottom line? Learn from soil health experts and farm operators about how they are using soil health practices to regenerate their land and increase their profit margins. Barry Fisher, Fisher Soil Health, LLC, will be on hand to discuss how to Build a Soil Health Management Plan. Michael Andrews, a producer from Central Illinois, will discuss how he has incorporated the STAR Program into his management system and the benefits he has seen. Hans Schmit with Indiana Conservation Cropping Systems, will discuss how soil health will help crop land be more resilient to extreme weather events. Finally, Andew Benzott, a Central Indiana producer, will speak about how soil health practices have increased their operations profit margins. This event is being sponsored in part by: Indiana Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative, Clean Water Indiana, STAR and Indiana NRCS. Lunch will be included with registration fee.
