One of the most versatile and indispensable tools, a hand-forged ax or hatchet can last for generations and be used for countless tasks, everywhere from camping to survival to a homestead tool. In this 2-day hands - on workshop, students can explore different designs and approaches to creating their own custom-forged hatchet or ax.  They will also learn the history of the versatile tool and its role throughout history. COURSE INFORMATION Dates: October 15-16th, 2022. Location: Detailed directions will be emailed to all enrolled students prior to the course. Lodging: Camping is free to any enrolled student, at our 50-acre campus.  There are also hotels within a 10-minute drive of the campus in the 78260 zip code.
