Be part of a powerful experience. Connect with people who have been affected by addiction and are sharing their stories to help others. As you follow the 5K path of recovery, you will encounter six heartfelt stories that celebrate recovery, offer hope to those still struggling, and honor the memories of those who didn't make it. You will also have the opportunity to post your own stories, ask for help, and comfort others. You will be part of a unique recovery walk experience, an event that gives participants the opportunity to come together to support each other. You will be helping save lives and change lives. Every participant will receive a finisher medal commemorating the experience and your support for addiction recovery. This event is a fundraiser for Strides in Recovery, a local nonprofit which brings 5K, 10K, and half marathon training to clients in addiction recovery programs. We help people grow physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger, so they can do their best at the hard work of recovery. We create experiences that support long term sobriety.
