Short Term Help Buying Used Car - need pro help

Hello – I have a short-term project that could pay $300-$500 for the right person for 3 -5 hours of week. I want to purchase a used car that I can use for the next year or two for reliable transportation. I am in Florida, not retired, but work at home and might drive 100 miles a week for groceries and stuff, at most. Maybe an occasional trip within Florida for the weekend within 100-300 miles. I want to buy a private party used car for approximately $3,000-5,000 and am willing to spend up to $100 month on average to upgrade and fix – knowing it won’t be perfect. After 2 years – I could scrap and don’t care about residual value. Just looking for a car for the next 1-2 years. I’d like to find someone who can help me look over the vehicle and decide if it’s good deal, based on my criteria above. I would expect us to narrow down the search to 3-5 vehicles that we would both go to together to and access the fit to my requirements. Each vehicle would be local and maybe require 30-60 minutes time. Super important – you need to have some real skills that I can verify. Resume, references, LinkedIn profile – people who will tell me you are the real deal. A car buyer or mechanic at a reputable firm would be the best fit.
