Description
Our mission is to supply Ukraine with desperately needed medical supplies and safely evacuate medically fragile children to the US or EU. Help In - Help Out: A benefit concert for Ukraine featuring the popular Scott Deering and the Usual Misfits as well as Tim Cadiere and the Washboard Road Band. Our Help In - Help Out concert is being held in effort to raise money to support the dire medical needs in Ukraine. Specifically, we aim to supply doctors with much needed medical supplies as well as transport medically fragile children out of the war torn country and into the United States or European Union. There are many organizations that are trying to help the Ukrainian people with humanitarian aid on the border and in neighboring countries but very few, if any, are able to get medical supplies into the war zone. Our organization will partner with Mark C Poznansky MD, PhD (Director Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center at Harvard's Mass General Hospital) in an effort to get supplies directly into the the country of Ukraine and the war zones. Tickets: Tickets are $100 and will include two drink coupons. (When purchasing tickets you will be given the option to add on an additional donation. This donation goes directly towards medical supplies and transporting injured children out of Ukraine) In addition to the concert, there will be a live auction where participants can purchase medical supplies needed by doctors in Ukraine. The list of medical supplies being purchased during the auction was given to us by doctors in Ukraine who are serving both civilians and military. The current state of medical supply need is dire. The Russian soldiers have stripped hospitals and doctor offices of all medical supplies including beds. During a zoom meeting with a Ukrainian doctor we were told that he had to suture a young boy who was injured during a bombing with a sewing needle and knitting thread. As you can see there is a significant need that we as a community can contribute to. Together we can donate our resources towards an effort that will save lives. A BIG THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS!
