Kirsten Paludan assembles an all-star ensemble of KC rock musicians to perform the timeless rock music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Doors 9pm ~ Showtime 10pm ~ $10 Admission HEAVY PETTY Heavy Petty is a Lawrence, KS based tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Dubbed 'the local band that most reliably slays', this 7-piece group faithfully recreates the music of one of the greatest singer/songwriters (and rock n' roll bands) of all time. With an extensive catalog, HP plays the hits as well as the deeper cuts, bringing energy, experience and fun to every performance. HP is at home on stage, making music together for over a decade, in this and various other projects. Featuring powerhouse singing from four different vocalists, three lead guitarists, and an ace rhythm section, the band has a presence and camaraderie that is a joy to watch. Led by the talented trio of Lynn Piller (vocals, lead guitar), Jeff Jackson (vocals, lead guitar, harmonica), and Adrian Rees (vocals, lead guitar), the band can play bombastic rockers and ballads with equal aplomb. A recent addition in 2018, songstress Kirsten Paludan (vocals, percussion), of Starhaven Rounders and Olympic Size, channels Miss Nicks herself with fringe and flair, celebrating one half of the best duos in rock history. Last and certainly not least, are Nate Holt on keyboards and bg vocals (Maria the Mexican, Approach, Cory Phillips), son of Lynn, Jim Piller on bass (The Roseline) and Austin Sinkler behind the drums (Til Willis & the Erratic Cowboys).
