Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful, Blue-Green Connections, and the City of Dunedin for a Hands Across the Sand Dunedin Causeway Cleanup! Blue-Green Connections, the City of Dunedin and Keep Pinellas Beautiful invite all who enjoy our local waters to stand together in support of keeping our waters healthy, transitioning to clean renewable energy, and against offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. *** WHEN: Saturday, May 21st 8:00-9:30: Registration (Just east of the restrooms on the south side of the causeway)8:00 – 9:30am: Causeway Cleanup9:40 – 10am: Words from city commissioners, staff, and environmental groups10:00: Join hands (or not) and form a line in the sand to stand in solidarity against offshore drillingWHERE TO MEET: Dunedin Causeway. Cleanup registration and parking will be just east of the restrooms on the south side of the causeway (see pinpoint location on map below) GPS: 28.055276, -82.805983 WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend bringing a hat or sunglasses too. WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including pickers, reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
