This Day in June Crafting with Pete Stewart and PBCSD in collaboration with Rohi's Readery Join us as we get creative with art and explore THIS DAY IN JUNE storybook with the incredible educator Pete Stewart of PBCSD and the Office of African, African American, LatinX, Holocaust and Gender Studies. We are truly so excited to partner with Drag Queen Story Hour- Miami to kick off the day! The amazing Angel Elektra will be joining us and reading a very special book. ALL AGES WELCOME! See you soon Revolutionary Readers! ______________________________________________________________________ About Transpire Help and Pride on the Block 2022 (www.transpirehelp.com) (www.prideontheblock.com): Follow us on IG at @transpirehelp and @prideontheblock This year, we are hosting our third Annual Pride on the Block. This event not only helps raise funds to assist LGBTQ+ people who are committed to living free from drug addiction and/or alcoholism, but it also will raise awareness for our cause across the community. We aspire to connect individuals to the care and resources necessary to create a solid foundation for a healthy and fulfilling life in recovery. This year, we have suppported the LGBTQ+community by providing financial aid to assist with counseling, medication, hormone replacement therapy, name changing processing, job training and groceries. We’re hosting a Block Party including live music, youth programming, performances, art show and silent auction as a way to raise funds and continue our work! Pride on the Block will take place on the 500 block of Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, FL on June 4, 2022 1pm to 4am. The "Loving Rainbow" Youth Programming from 1pm-5pm. This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local organizations and companies who provide valuable services and products so that we can support our attendees and participants. With your support, we will we be able to direct financial support to help LGBTQ+ individuals within substance use treatment to be able to afford medications, mental health services, sober-living housing, food, clothes for job interviews and much more.
