Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today: For the past 10 weeks some of Anne Arundel County police, fire department and county employees have been working with local youth. At the end of this program they were able to teach, mentor and help mentees build confidence, determination and responsibility and build a soapbox. Yesterday, all of their efforts paid off in a race. Click to see the video. (Fox Baltimore)The son of the owner of Sweet Peaz restaurant in Baltimore has been shot. The 19-year-old teen was seen arguing with someone outside of the restaurant. The other person left and returned with a gun and proceeded to shoot the victim in the chest. The suspect has been arrested. (News Break)No, it hasn't been 17 years yet, but the cicadas are back! These crusty critters are called "late-bloomer" cicadas and they are digging their way out of the dirt. If you haven't heard them yet, don't worry...you will. (WJZ 13)Has anyone seen Roderick Parks? He is an 11-year-old boy from Baltimore that has been missing since May 11. He wasn't reported missing until May 13. If anyone knows where he may be, please contact the police.
