JOLIET, IL — Joliet police have not made any arrests in connection with Saturday morning's shooting at the BP gas station at the corner of McDonough and South Chicago Streets. A 37-year-0ld man was shot in the arm, police said. The shooting happened around 7:40 a.m. At the BP, Joliet police found evidence of a shooting and a 37-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his left arm, police spokesman Dwayne English said. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance was summoned to the scene, however, the victim refused medical treatment from paramedics. Instead, the victim opted to get a ride to the Ascension St Joseph Medical Center in a private vehicle. English said that is an active investigation in its early stages as Joliet Police Detectives work to identify a suspect or suspects.
