JOLIET, IL — Several Joliet police officers converged upon the Meadow View Elementary School property on Sunday night after a shooting left a teenager injured. Joliet Facebook Live's Bob Hernandez said that his followers notified him about the shooting off Caton Farm Road in the area of Joliet near Plainfield. The Joliet Police Department posted a short statement on its Facebook page around 9:30 p.m. "Officers are currently investigating a shooting in the 2500 block of Mirage Avenue on the city's far west side. One victim has been transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Please avoid the area."
