ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst is still seeing the most coronavirus cases since January, according to the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had seen 10,295 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, up 201 from a week before. That's higher than the previous week's 179. The city hit a weekly record of 599 in January. The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst stayed the same in the last week, at 96. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1 percent.
