I want to make music for our time. Most new music is just old music repackaged, not indicative of the world we live in and where the world is going. There's exceptions, sure, but even Thom Yorke has run out of ideas. I play drums, sax, a little folk guitar. I can work out ideas on a keyboard. I can sing if I need to. My real strength is my creativity and the music I hear in my head. I can craft a sound, a message, something unique. But I need good musicians, interesting musicians, not wedded to any one genre. I'm ambitious but we all need to work together, no big egos. We need to be open-minded, process oriented. Go where the music goes. Influences? Everything. And you should listen to everything too. I want guitar and bass at least. Maybe someone else can play drums. Maybe keys. Maybe more horns. Electronics would be cool. Maybe a second guitar. It's just about who fits, who gets it. I don't have a place to rehearse so we'll need to figure that out. I only have an electronic drum set but we can make that work for now. Let's not be in a hurry either, let's get to know each other musically. Find the vibe and the groove. A real group. Playing as a team. Practicing 2-4 times a week. Sound good? Hit me up.
