Hi, I'm Puma🐾 (I am probably best with calm dogs… but need to separate initially, with SLOW intro to other dog in home). I’m set to be euthanized May 18th, 8 am. Why am I E-listed? I’m STRESSED and FRUSTRATED from long periods of kennel confinement. I’m spinning in circles in my small kennel and shredding bedding and toys because I’m so distressed!! I am VERY calm when out of kennel! It is inhumane to keep me here in this condition! I don't want to die here... Will you save my life? I'm So sweet and calm. I’m a 2-year-old, neutered, black and white speckled German short hair pointer/Lab/ Pitbull Terrier mix (49 lbs.). I came to the shelter 2 months ago as a stray and was petrified and scared. How sad is this?....my owners never came for me. Since I’ve been at the shelter, I have lost weight…stress will do that to us dogs! At first, I am shy and timid, but I do warm up quickly. I know "sit", love to be petted, and take treats nicely. I haven’t had a dog-to-dog assessment at the shelter, so how I am with other dogs is unknown. However, notes say that I tend to avoid barking dogs or ignore them. The shelter recommends that I have an adopter that understands a stressed dog, that I meet the entire family before going home, and that children in the home be older. I may need a little time to warm up. This noisy, chaotic place is the problem, not me! I need to be out of here ASAP and into a home where I can de-stress (go on walks, play, and have time to unwind). I don’t want to die! Will you please come meet me before it is too late?
