Into The Open Road-An Evening with James Howard James Howard has been playing guitar for 45 years and teaching guitar for 42. In 2012, James won “Best Blues Guitarist” in Lee Ritenour and Yamaha’s “Six String Theory Global Guitar Competition“, with applicants submitting from 49 countries world-wide. The James Howard Band band won the Washington Blues Society’s competition in 2016 to represent the Pacific Northwest at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee.
