Reggae+Rock - pro studio drummer wanted for hire *** Please Have Links to Share *** What's up, thanks for checking this out. I'm a guitarist/producer looking for a professional recording drummer for some fresh and legit reggae rock sounds. I want to launch a new project and I live in a small town... so this would very likely be a remote situation. I can pay $25 per Track YOU: -track your own drums at home / at a studio, -play on a click track* -are not afraid of playing outside of 4/4 -understand 'playing in pocket' Also check out the links below and see if you feel the vibe. It's kinduv niche ______________________________________________________________ Ideally, Here is the workflow: I'll send you some drum samples to feel out, absorb and then Track + Embellish on your own. There will be 2 types of track submissions - Songs and Improv / Live Takes Songs: Arrangements I send. These will be 2 files - 1 has guitar and bass, the other has guitar, bass, and click Improv / Live Takes: Just you jamming those sweet drums on different BPMs. I would like to work with 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, and 200. Previous studio drummers I've worked with will do like a 5 minute take, with half being straightforward and supportive, and the other half being busy with fills and lots of ghost notes etc Your tracks will need to be multi channels: (EXAMPLE here. Obvs not everyone has this kind of interface/mics/etc) 1-2 snare 1-HH 1-Tom1 1-Tom2 1-Tom3 1-Timbali (please) 2-Kick 1-Ride 2-OH 2-Room (can be used in mixing stuff) If you have V-Drums, you can send Midi and/or the triggered samples on multi-channel. Super bonus if you have both analog mics and triggers going into midi. Although I can convert wav hits into midi as well, it speeds up the workflow =================================================================================== Styles: I really don't want to sound like a cookie-cutter trend project. I dig the vibe of reggae rhythm, but I'm not down with the scene. Way too much generic crap out there. As a guitarist with 30+ years of experience, I want to do something with higher intellect. Reggae- Wailers / Sublime / Police / Groundation Jam Vibes - The Dead, Allman Brothers, Santana Rock - ACDC, Aerosmith, GnR My previous work is dated, so keep in mind the new sound will be more expanded and produced.
