Description
I am looking for long term farm help. Extra hours sometimes available (and will be to allow for training of which horses get which feed and other info you will need) but job is for Saturday and Sunday work. Of course is crazy hot and the work is dirty and heavy that sometimes involves moving heavy items like bringing hay from hay barn to other barns, organizing/cleaning of barns. Occasional running of errands.
The horse related work involves feeding, cleaning waters and stalls and helping to put horses in and out of pastures.
No smoking, drug free and honest and a plus is being comfortable around large dogs and horses. No major experience needed but helpful if you have any experience around horses.
Hours per week vary depending on how fast you get the work done and what else you are willing to do around here. Often during the summer for those who live close (we are close to the UNT stadium), go home for long lunch to avoid some of the heat and come in the morning for feed and morning chores and then back late afternoon/early evening for pm chores. If need the 8 hours per day, we always have mowing and yard work if you have ever operated a tractor.
We are just a few minutes from the UNT campus so has worked over the years for students.
If you would like more information, please respond with details including why this job sounds of interest to you, if you have ever driven a tractor, any experience around horses. If you simply respond asking me to call you with no other information, I won't!
