Ascending and descending vocal intervals and interval jumps need to be clean, with clear articulation and good timing.
I want to hear someone who has the basics worked out plus magic.
If you can't work the intervals you're aiming for in your demos or are obviously straining to do so because your range is limited please pass on by.
Looking for big league vocals that are spot on. I know it when I hear it.
Off key, straining, missing notes isn't big league and I don't want to be arguing balls and strikes down the road.
If you are actually aware of mistakes and stumbles in your demos I really don't know what to say except find some people to work with who don't notice it or don't care if you're on or off.
Original music killer grooves, interesting chord progressions and tight arrangements: Bluesy Rock, Rock and Soul with blends of Funk and Be Bop, Swing, Jazz Fusion, Noisy Power Pop and Roll. Mostly uptempo, straight to the point, lean and mean, melodic and catchy, lots of genuine and distinct attitude.
