Join us for an inspiring evening event featuring our guest speaker and author of “The Other Side of Yet,” Michelle D. Hord. In memory of her daughter, Gabrielle, Hord started a nonprofit, Gabrielle’s Wings, a group that is actively removing barriers globally to the success of BIPOC youth and families. In collaboration with the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Gabrielle’s Wings is committed to helping BIPOC children and their families learn to swim and providing marginalized communities access to aquatic safety programs. The Y and Gabrielle’s Wings are motivated by the importance and value of access to aquatic safety programs like the Y’s swimming lessons.
Hord will share inspiration from her new book "The Other Side of Yet," on how to live with grace and resilience, even through life's most difficult challenges. Each guest will receive a copy of the book.
You will also hear from other special guest speakers who will share their connections and empowering stories regarding aquatic safety and the importance of Y initiatives like Safety Around Water.
We hope you can join us and help create new, fun, and stress-free aquatic experiences for future generations with life-saving initiatives like Safety Around Water.
Can't attend? Donate $150 and receive a signed copy of "The Other Side of Yet."
