When it comes to the essential part of entertainment history, people will often mention New York, New Orleans, and Detroit, but forget that Baltimore has contributed to the musical landscape, especially in the terms of JAZZ with Legends! - James Hubert Blake (February 7, 1887– February 12, 1983), - Eleanora Fagan AKA Billie Holiday(April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959), - Cabell "Cab" Calloway III (December 25, 1907 – November 18, 1994, - William Henry "Chick" Webb(February 10, 1905– June 16, 1939). Yet the jazz community continues to thrive. The Baltimore Jazz Festival looks to continue with the tradition.
