Enhance writing skills, develop a manuscript, finalize a manuscript, and disseminate a manuscript for publication. The LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing - Nursing Continuing Professional Development & Entrepreneurial Enterprise presents this two-day series: Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, and Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm You must attend both sessions. Overview: Over a two-month, two-day series, the Writing & Publishing Workshop will assist participants to enhance their writing skills, develop a manuscript, finalize a manuscript, and disseminate a manuscript for publication. Through working in a collaborative partnership with a mentor, participants will have the opportunity to submit a manuscript based on research findings or other works in scholarly topics suitable for peer-review publication. Goal: By the end of the Writing & Publishing Workshop, participants will have a complete, edited manuscript appropriate for submission to a scholarly journal. Learning Outcomes: Demonstrate basic technical writing skills. Compose a manuscript for submission to a peer reviewed journal.Discuss the publication process.Develop a plan to manage peer review feedback and manuscript revision. Target Audience: Registered nurses and anyone interested in writing for publication. Participants can earn up to 13.75 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit based on attendance. Registration closes Tuesday, May 31st at 12:00 pm (noon) CST. There is no commercial support and no endorsement of any product by the LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing NCPD Department for this educational activity. Cancellation and Refund Policy: A full refund, less a $25 processing fee and Eventbrite service fees, will be issued for all cancellations received at least one week prior to the date of the first workshop. No refunds are issued thereafter. Cancellations received the day of the workshop are not eligible for a refund. LSUHNO School of Nursing NCPD Department reserves the right to cancel a course when circumstances are warranted. In such a case, a full refund will be issued.
