Join us for the 11th Annual Smoke on the Plains Derby BBQ and Music Fest on June 10 and 11 at High Park, 2801 E. James St. in Derby.
You are invited to scenic High Park for a weekend of fun, food and music! The park will be full of activity on June 10 and 11 as we hold the 11th Annual Smoke on the Plains BBQ & Music Festival presented by Rock Regional Hospital.
There will be fun for all ages, from live music on the Security 1st Title Mainstage to the Kids Corner sponsored by Smile Safari and Derby Orthodontics/ Trimmell Anders and White. Enjoy refreshing beverages from the Derby Noon Lions Club Beer & Beverage Tent and Shaken or Stirred Bartending all weekend.
The BBQ competitions include the Creekstone Farms KCBS Cook-off, the Scholfield Honda Backyard BBQ Cook-off, and the Creekstone Farms SCA Steak Cook-off. Enter by May 20 at DerbyBBQ.com.
On June 10 from 7-9 pm you can sample competition-style pulled pork in our People's Choice Tasting Contest. Tasting kits are just $5 and go on sale at 6:30 that evening.
Enjoy live music on the Security 1st Title Mainstage all weekend. Acts include the Silver Bullet Band on June 10 (7-10 pm). Saturday, June 11 line-up includes: Harrison Steele (9-11 am); Patz (11 am to 1 pm); Whitnie Means (1 to 2:30 pm) and Paramount (7-10 pm).
