Run Houston with Active Passion's weekly 5k Fun Run. Join us after for coffee and a post-run stretch! Come Run With Us DESCRIPTION The Active Passion Saturday 5k is a moderate run that is open to all runners, walkers, rollers. It encourages new runners and experienced runners alike. The run starts at 8:00 a.m. Arrive early to allow time for pre-run coffee and snacks. After each run, we have a professional coach to lead a post-run stretch. SAFETY This run follows all rules of the road and general courtesies of the trails. Safety is paramount. We will not be leaving runners on their own. While there may be some sections where we hit the gas a bit we will always regroup and we always finish together for safety. Please be respectful to those around you. Call out all safety concerns and generally be a good human. If you cannot follow the rules and/or be a good human, this may not be the run for you. If the group size gets large and the variation of the skills is high, we may split into up to 3 groups based on abilities. Please be self-sufficient. You should have at minimum, water bottles, and knowledge of the route. We will occupy one side of the lane and maintain a safe distance from one another. If you are new to group runs, please mention this to the run leader before the run departs. * IF YOU HAVE ANY SAFETY CONCERNS THAT ARE PERSONAL TO YOU, PLEASE IN FOR THE PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR *. COVID CONCERNS When running, stay a minimum of 6 feet away and increase that distance based on increased speed or wear a mask if possible. You must have a mask on to enter the store. Avoid touching anything unnecessarily. Wash your hands often. There are hand sanitizer stations inside the store. If you must high-five your run companions make it a no-touch, air high-five. If you have a fever, feel unwell, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home. We start and finish at Active Passion at 803 Usener St. See you there!
