Join us in the kitchen for an evening with internationally acclaimed Chef Susanna Foo. Join Susanna Foo, celebrity chef and library aficionado, as she demonstrates and shares some of her favorite dishes. Well known for her innovative Asian fusion-style, Susanna blends classic Chinese ingredients with French techniques in a way that embraces creativity. This class will be a combination of demonstration and hands-on activity- yes, there will be dumpling folding!- so it will truly be an evening to remember. She doesn’t believe that authenticity and improvisation are incompatible, and she doesn’t wish to be hemmed in by national or regional boundaries. Armed with a deep understanding and knowledge of both regional Chinese cooking traditions and the techniques of other international cuisines, she has changed the paradigm of Chinese food through the melding of the best and fresh ingredients with modern and traditional cooking techniques. Susanna is known as the "original innovator" of Asian Fusion and has won innumerable awards and achievements(including two James Beards!).
