Join us to help support a local Lombard Family! Aubree is a four year old girl, who was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic neurological disorder. Rett Syndrome has robbed Aubree of her ability to walk, talk, purposefully use her hands and has contributed to the onset of seizures, breathing abnormalities and eating difficulties requiring a feeding tube. The Latelle family continues to endure financial burdens including medical expenses and equipment in their efforts to meet Aubree’s needs for the best quality of life. As Aubree continues to grow, her lack of mobility and impaired communication has posed a threat to the family’s physical and financial capacity to continue to care for her in their current housing environment. Secondary to the progressive nature of her neurological diagnosis, Aubree’s medical expenses continue to rise and her need for a handicap accessible home becomes dire. The Latelle family is facing a $180,000 renovation of their home to include a handicap accessible bathroom, larger bedroom for extensive medical equipment, supplies and most importantly a wheelchair elevator within the home that allows Aubree to access all levels of her current home.
