You are invited to our 2022 Annual Meeting & Dinner The League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge, and Lisle invites you to join us at our2022 Annual Meeting & Dinner “The Importance of Civic Engagement”Wednesday, June 1st at 6:30 p.m. Capri Restaurant at Main and Burlington Avenues, Downers Grove. It’s time to gather all of our members for a wonderful evening with your fellow League members. Meet our new members, hear about our current projects, and enjoy the elegant atmosphere. Our evening includes a buffet dinner at the sophisticated Capri Restaurant in the heart of downtown Downers Grove. Bring your appetite! The cost for the evening is $42 per person (please bring a check made out to League of Women Voters). There will be a cash bar. Dress for the evening will be business casual, but if you are so inclined, please feel free to dress up in your evening best. After all, we have much to celebrate! If you cannot afford our membership dinner at this time, we have a limited number of scholarships available—please contact Rita Thompson, membership director, if you wish to request one. If you wish to donate a dinner ticket, please send a check to our PO box made out to League of Women Voters and note “scholarship” in the memo line. (Of course, all donors and recipients will confidential.) Any unused donations will be placed in our general fund; we are grateful for your generosity. You will also be asked to renew your membership at this time. Please bring a check for your membership dues. (You may use one check for both dinner and membership.) Our membership rates are as follows: member $75, student $20, Pay What You Can - your choice, supporter $100, household $115, patron $200. As an added incentive to renew your dues at our annual meeting, those who do so will be entered into a raffle for a free year of membership. Also, this would be a perfect time to pick up a coffee mug commemorating our League’s 100th year anniversary for a suggested donation of $15. Perhaps you are not sure if you will know anyone? You will find us a warm and welcoming group, and you will make friends before the evening is over. Rita Thompson will be reaching out to each person who RSVPs to make sure you feel at home when you arrive. We will be waiting for you!
