Fire District 9 Annual Demo Day & Wellness Fair - featuring live fire and rescue techniques, over 50 local organizations participating! Fire District 9 is hosting its annual Demo Day & Wellness Fair on Sunday, June 5th from 10am-2pm, at 3801 E. Farwell Rd. (corner of Farwell & Market). This FREE, family-oriented event will feature live fire and rescue demos, learn Hands-Only CPR, over 50 local business and organizations will be there with displays, samples and info, see and tour fire trucks and a Life Flight helicopter. Kids can try their firefighting techniques with the Jr. Challenge Course and everyone can try their hand at using a fire extinguisher. Smokey Bear and Otto from the Spokane Indians Baseball Club will be on hand for photos too! Come meet your local firefighters and watch them at work demonstrating some of the dangerous situations they encounter on a daily basis.
