Will they make good pets? Yes and no. They're going to be high prey drive tracking dogs. The could dig up other pets from the yard. They could kill your small pet and cat. Can it be trained away? Yes. They've already be exposed to rabbits and have gotten to the point of no aggression. They will be affectionate to people and kids even tho they might play a bit rough with other dogs. If you plan to keep them as pets you MUST train them, supervise them well and keep them mentally stimulated. Parents are trained to chase racoons and ground hogs from the smaller dogs and kill large rats that get in the house. They are also excellent alert dogs. There is no missing their loud baying. They are 8 week old coonhound mixed. Have some basset and lab. Dad comes from a line of mixed coonhounds (different types of coonhound obviously) from a good hunting group in the south. Mom is a dog I picked up hoping she was agile and small enough to catch and kill rats before I got the coonhounds but is too small to take on the huge raccoon and groundhogs running our neighborhood. Expect the babies will be great hunters and trackers. They're smaller than my standard hound tho. Price is not firm but be reasonable. If you can't afford close to the fee, you can't even afford to get them spayed or neutered, their vaccines, let alone their food, treats and toys. They are mutts but I need a reasonable fee on them so crackheads won't buy them for dog fighting. You will also have to register them before they turn 12 weeks to not have to pay double! Have had one vaccine at 6 weeks and been dewormed a couple times. Must be vaccinated again at 9 weeks before turning 10 weeks, and again at 12 weeks before turning 13. Fecal samples should be taken it. Rabies vaccines are due at 6 months old. At 6 months old they can get a 1 year shot, and at 1.5 years they can get a 3-5 year shot. Located near Drexel Foodtown. Price is atm discounted because having a house full of hound puppies is driving me crazy. They are LOUD. They want attention ALL THE TIME. They are partially puppy pad trained but even the few accidents off the pads is annoying to clean. Dad was supposed to not be able to have puppies and now I regret my life decisions. NO CALLS.
