Key Takeaways: A professional overview of the different types budgetingInsights to uncover which budget type works best for you How to create a sustainable financial budget that is realistic and aligned with your personal and professional goalsIdentifying 3x action items you can execute after the workshop to help you take back control of your financial budget About Our Guest Speaker: Susan Greenhalgh is President of Mind Your Money, LLC, a financial coaching firm she began in 2019. She is an AFC® - an Accredited Financial Counselor. Her work includes one on one financial coaching, workshops and corporate wellness training. Previously, Susan was the COO of The Public’s Radio and earned her Accounting degree at Bryant University. When not empowering folks to live their best lives fully funded, she loves to snorkel, hike, talk to trees, and spend time at her home in the Caribbean. Susan knows first-hand the power of minding your money! Susan says: -'Budgeting is not one size fits all' -'You can't improve what you can't measure' -'Managing your income AND spending is EMPOWERING!' *A note on Financial advisors vs. an Accredited Financial Counselor: Financial advisor is a catch all - literally anyone can call themselves a financial advisor. My designation as an AFC® means that I've been certified and tested through the AFCPE and that I have continuing education requirements that I must meet as well as adhering to an ethics pledge. There are many, many different designations a person can get - it's really hard to sift through to make sure they are working in your best interests or are the type you really need. I sell education and empowerment. I don't sell investments or insurance. My only goal is to empower you around money to live your best life fully funded!" THE DEN, is a media playground launched during the pandemic by four women who were looking for an entrepreneurial community to get support, share resources, and build their network (and networth with). What initially began as weekly coworking dates at Jackelyn’s loft in Providence quickly turned into brainstorming sessions about the concept of a community for women in business. Individually, we have been bringing women together for years, but in 2022 we decided to join forces to multiply our impact. We recognized our individual talents in marketing, business, social impact, fashion, music, and wellness were a force that could be used to power THE DEN into reality and we are starting by hosting in-person events –– think roundtable discussions centered around topics that women business owners, in the post-pandemic era, are looking for. The more intimate topics about the personal challenges and mindset shifts that lead to individual growth and business breakthroughs. About the Event Venue: Harvest Kitchen Cafe is housed in the historic Gately Building in Downtown Pawtucket. As a program of Farm Fresh Rhode Island, Harvest Kitchen supports the mission to create access to local foods and support local food systems. Our program focuses on Culinary Job Training for youth ages 16–19 involved with the RI Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). Trainees work to create value-added products — from pickles to applesauce — using ingredients sourced from local farms. The trainees also learn job readiness skills, create resumes and learn fundamental interview skills which they use to secure internships in the community as a part of the program. Harvest Kitchen is providing attendees with light farm-fresh bites.
