LINDENHURST, NY — In the Village of Lindenhurst, summer is just around the corner. The village's 2022 summer recreation program lottery form is now available. The camp will begin on July 5 and continue until August 13. Camp hours are 9 a.m to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Campers are grouped by age, not by school grade, in the following groups: 5 to 7 year olds; 8 to 9 year olds; and 10 to 14 year olds. The camp is open to Lindenhurst children who are eligible to attend the Lindenhurst School District. Children must complete kindergarten by the end of this school year to be eligible to register. According to a press release, the village is "determined to follow all recommendations and protocols established by the Board of Health and CDC as related to COVID-19 and camper to counselor ratios." Those selected in the lottery will be notified by email at the beginning of June. Lottery forms can be emailed to [email protected], faxed to 631-957-4605, or dropped off to Village Hall, located at 430 S.
