Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: A police cruiser was stolen from the New Orleans Levee district station on Saturday morning. The thief drove a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Police cruiser with Louisiana plates out from the Orleans Parish Levee Board depot around 8 a.m. and drove through a parking gate on their way out. Anyone who is pulled over by an Orleans Levee vehicle is urged to dial 911. (WBRZ) An alleged "late night shootout" sent nearby residents running for cover when more than 70 shots were fired on Wednesday night. Only two injuries were reported, according to NOPD, but the neighbors and apartment complexes in the area have begun setting up more flood lights to try and prevent crime like this from happening in their area. (FOX 8 Local First) As the trend of car stunts continues, a driver doing donuts on Claiborne Avenue nearly hit a NOPD unit last weekend. City Councilmen Green claims he wants to propose a new city ordinance that would make it illegal to preform stunts and do car donuts.
